ruins; resurrected ist prozess, ökosystem, wanderschaft. 165km, 2,5 jahrtausende, über 1000 lebendig verbrannte menschen, ungezählte opfer sexueller gewalt. welche gewalttaten werdendokumentiert und erinnert, welche nicht? ein blick durch die zeit auf vergessenes, verdrängtes und verbliebenes im kontext nie wirklich verarbeiteter faschismen. deutschland ist noch immer ein geteiltes land. seine geschichte ist eingebettet in jahrtausende opaker patriarchaler gewalt, und im jahr 2025 ist bittere wahrheit: die performative erinnerungskultur (re)produziert kollektive schuld. kollektive schuld potenziert individuelle abspaltung. das ist bestürzend, brandgefährlich und grund, genau hinzuschauen.
ruins; resurrected is process, ecosystem, wandering. 165km, 2.5 millennia, over 1000 people burned alive, countless victims of sexual violence. which acts of violence are documented and remembered, which are not? a glance through time at what has been forgotten, repressed and left behind in the context of fascisms that have never really been dealt with. germany is still a divided country. its history is embedded in thousands of years of opaque patriarchal violence, and in 2025 it is a bitter truth: the performative memory culture (re)produces collective guilt. collective guilt potentiates individual dissociation. this is upsetting, highly dangerous and a reason to take a closer look.
